Twitter is unbelievably popular now. There are an incredible amount of people using it and an incredible amount signing up each day. Some people are now beginning to dislike Twitter because of the way it is treated. Gaining followers has become more of a game and a high follower count gives people something to boast about. Also, half of the Twitter population now have auto-follow features turned on, provided by external websites, myself included. I still love Twitter, and like following loads of people I don’t know, and have loads of people following me.

twAiter.com lets you schedule tweets and have them automatically twittered, or tweeted (I’m not sure which one is the correct ‘verb’), at a specified time. It also acts as a completely pointless online Twitter client. Basically, that means it lets you Tweet, and see other Tweets on the website -- exactly what you can do on the official Twitter website. Finally, it lets you see a calendar of Tweets which could be useful, I just can’t think of a practical use for it right now.

One thing Twitter is used for by many business is marketing and advertising. Scheduling Tweets could be useful for this, or to simple allow people to send a Tweet at the perfect time, like the minute they were born, on their Birthday, or midnight on New Year’s Eve!

I’m hoping, for their sake, that twAiter is a new service, because it lacks many features and at the moment, is only useful for scheduling tweets. The website is also really slow. I’m not quite sure if that was a problem on my end or not though. But, it’s a cool service that does what it says…on the homepage so check it out, and don’t forget to pass along any other Twitter tools and services you know of so I can share them with the community.
