Mac vs PC Boot Time Comparison

In a comparison of boot times between an HP PC running Windows XP Media Centre Edition, an emachines PC running Windows XP Home edition and an Apple Mac mini running OS X 10.5 Leopard, you would expect the fastest computer, the HP, to com first, followed by the Mac mini and then the slowest of the three, the emachines. However, the Mac mini won and the HP came last!

Since I made this video, I have compared the boot time of the Mac mini with that of an old computer running Windows 98 and surprisingly, the computer, with only 8MB of RAM (maybe 16MB) and a 2GB HDD (CPU speed unknown), running Windows 98, won! This is probably because Windows 98 has nothing to load compared to OS X and only a 2GB hard drive to look through which means it will be a lot quicker. Still, it’s kinda funny.
