Classic Logon in Windows XP
Have you ever wanted to make your computer safer or more secure? If so the you may be interested in disabling the Windows XP ‘Welcome Screen’ and forcing users to press Ctrl+Alt+Del. The Welcome Screen is the blue screen you see when you start windows. You click your username and, if you have one, you will type your password. The Welcome Screen has only been around since the release of XP in 2001, before that, Windows used the logon prompt. You may have used a Windows 2000 where you are required to press an awkward key combination and then type a Username and Password to logon to Windows. This is a more secure way to log on to Windows. It prevents other users of knowing your Username and being able to simply guess your password. This Logon style is useful if you own a shared computer. This video will show you how to achieve the task of disabling the Welcome Screen!
